Thank you for considering referring people to me! I deeply appreciate it.
This page will let you know who would make an ideal referral and how to refer someone to me. You have my promise that I will help any person you refer to me to the best of my abilities. If I am not able to help them, I’ll let them know and provide any suggestions I may have for a more suitable way to address their challenge.
“Who should I refer to you?”
My ideal clients are consultants (either solo consultants/fractional CXOs or small agencies) — people whose core business is to provide expert guidance to their clients on how to achieve their goals. While they may also help with implementation, advice is a key part of their service offering. They excel at what they do for their clients, but they struggle to consistently capture social proof that shows the results they help their clients achieve and why their services are worth the investment.
“How can you help them?”
I help my clients get compelling social proof without the awkwardness. Usually I do this through done-for-you testimonials and case studies that help them diffuse objections from potential clients during the sales process and showcase the results they’ve helped achieve (and how they help achieve them).
Here are links to more details about some of the services I provide:
“Do you have examples of your work?”
Absolutely! Here are just a few:
- case study for Ethercycle, a design and development agency for Shopify stores
- case study for Sam Alexander/Extended Play, a fractional CTO
- case study for Josh Doody, salary negotiation coach
- testimonial for Call for Content, a podcast agency
- testimonials for Justin Bergen/Five3 Apps, an iOS consultant
“How should I refer people to you?”
The best way to refer someone to me is to send an email to connect us. You can email me at meg@megcumby.com. I’ll follow up with the person you are referring, asking them a few questions and offering to set up a call to discuss their needs in greater detail.
“Do you have an email I can use/modify to refer people?”
Absolutely! Feel free to copy and paste the text below, subbing in their name and the relevant bits (marked “TKTKTK -” so you can easily find them) and send the email off to someone that you’ve identified. You can of course modify this text to better fit your voice or the situation. If you’d like, you can CC me (my email is meg@megcumby.com) so I know that you’ve referred them to me and can send them a few questions to learn more about them and their business.
